Intimacy with God

Intimacy with God describes a state of relationship with Him based on dying to self and total consecration to seek first the Kingdom and His Righteousness.

Those who relate with the Lord like this are delivered from the pressure to perform which defines life on the Broadway. In this way, the saints are able to walk on the narrow way and enjoy the abundant life.

This is an area where we can unwittingly enter into chaos or a spiritual Lesotho as I call it. Lesotho is an independent Kingdom in the middle of South Africa. So we can overall follow mostly the will of God but if we keep pockets back of our life to run independently outside His will then chaos will reign. Remember who gave us the creative talent or the analytical mind or the scientific understanding. It was Elohim. And Jeremiah 29:11 tells us of the expected end. In other words a plan. He has a plan for us and if we run things by our own will and efforts we can actively work against His plan. Isaiah 55:8-9 tells us that our ways are not His ways so why go our way? It's like asking God to fly the plane then bursting into the cockpit as we approach landing saying "I've got this". The chances are we will forget to out the landing gear down! Luke 9:23 tells us to follow Jesus but we can fall into the trap of asking God to follow us. So Proverbs 3:5 tells us to trust the Lord with All thine heart, not some but all. So am I saying do nothing? No I'm saying do nothing without the Lord's consent. Stay in His plan for us and don't wrestle back parts of our life to control it ourselves. That's when we make an almighty mess that we then turn to the All Mighty to clear up for us.
