Remembering The Death Of Our Lord: Gratitude

April 09, 2025

John 12:1-3 (KJV) Then Jesus six days before the passover came to Bethany, where Lazarus was which had been dead, whom he raised from the dead. There they made him a supper; and Martha served: but Lazarus was one of them that sat at the table with him. Then took Mary a pound of ointment of spikenard, very costly, and anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair: and the house was filled with the odour of the ointment.

Mary gave in gratitude the best she could offer for her forgiven sins. She is still remembered for anointing our Lord with the spikenard, which was expensive. What can we be remembered for? We often ask for what we do not have but forget to say thank you for what has been done for us. Today, we want to say, “Thank you, Jesus, for all you have done for us.”
