2 Corinthians 8:9 For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.
The truth is that Jesus truly suffered everything possible so that we can enjoy the abundant life declared in John 10:10. The spirit of religion can prevent saints from receiving the reality of 2 Corinthians 8:9 - the reality that on the Cross, Jesus also paid the price to crush the spirit of poverty which seeks to keep them in bondage.
