Assuring Grace

And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God, and fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan. And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine? There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger. And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole. Luke 17:15-19 KJV

Power of thank you (Gratitude). Ten lepers were healed. The one that came back to show gratitude received the benefit of "Arise" (Lifting) "go thy way" (freedom) and "wholeness". (Complete healing both physical and spiritual)

It is a form of worship: Thanking God for His goodness and abundant mercies is a form of worship. Isaiah 63:7

It reorients our heart: Thanking God for His goodness delivers us from the attitude of taking God for granted.

It teaches us how to discipline our thoughts: So many things might be good, but not all good things are good for you. Philippians 4:8

Thank you will enable you to see things as they are and discipline your thoughts.

It is humbling: God's goodness and benevolence are not based on merit nor our right, but on His mercy. We acknowledge His ability to do what we cannot do.

It is sure proof that you know the doer: Thank you helps us to glorify the doer more than the instrument of goodness.

It is a testimony: When we thank God openly and acknowledge what He did for us, It strengthens the faith of others. Psalms 105:1. KJV

It leads to Joy: it is a gateway to joy. Psalms 126: 1-6,

It draws us to God: Thanking God for His kindness and mercy draws us to Him more.

It brings Peace to us: There is an assurance that God's hands are l over our circumstances. Philippians 4:6-7.

It defies Satan's lies and schemes: it keeps us from caving into the enemy's lies. Satan will want to convince people that God is withholding good things from them. Psalms 84:11.

It guards us against envy: A heart of gratitude has no room for envy. Psalms 138:1.

It makes us realise that God has given us more than we deserve.

It helps us to see God: The more we thank God, the more we see Him working in us and around us. It enables us to sense the existence and the presence of God. James 1:16-17.

It helps us to glorify God: We exalt not the Giver and not the gift.

It helps us to be in God's will: Thank you God is part of His will for us. 1 Thess 5:18.
