It’s About Gratitude and not for Granted
I met a lady on the plane who was talking about how grateful she was to God. That amazed me. Most of the time, we don’t count God’s blessings and privileges because we take them for granted. Typically, we talk more about what has not worked and forget the loads that have gone well. He loves us so much that He keeps giving us the opportunity to follow His commands and serve Him wholeheartedly.
We take it that God will forgive us and repeat bad things over and over again. He gives us time after time and chance after chance, but let’s not forget that time will come when we have to answer for our disobedience.
In Leviticus 10:1-7, the sons of Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, were careless or too familiar with God to burn strange fire without their censers. Of course, they were killed.
But why should they do that after the glory of God came down? Leviticus Chapter 9:26. We can throw tomatoes at them, but let’s look at ourselves. How have we taken the grace of God for granted after He had honoured us?
We have to trust in Him and have faith in Him. He will see us through anything. He is able. He gave us the power and knowledge we need. All through the Scriptures are written His plans and will for us to follow. He also gave us the Holy Spirit so that we won’t fail. If we remain obedient and give God the glory and praise He deserves, He will bless us and supply our needs accordingly.
We must seek first the Kingdom of God and all His righteousness. Everything else will be added unto us. Matthew 6:33. Every day, we must do better and grow stronger in the Lord. Satan will tempt us every second of every day. We need to cover in full body armour. Ephesians 6:10-17. Be ready for battle with the Word of God. Please don’t worry about anything; trust in Him totally. Strive every day to build a strong relationship with Our Father. He wants to give you the desires of your hearts. All the things that He wants to give us and do for us are all for the betterment of our lives.
Let’s keep each other and our families uplifted in prayers. We are now the vessels of God. 2 Timothy 2:20-22. God will want purified vessels to serve Him.
It calls for gratitude for being honoured and selected by God. Thank you, Jesus. We love You, Lord. Amen
