God Our Deliverer

“He shall deliver thee in six troubles: Yea, in seven there shall no evil touch thee.”
Job 5:19 KJV
The branding of the Christian faith as a myth had not been in record-high than it is at this age and time. Ironically, those who reject the power of God and His existence are in satanic worship. Satan who cannot be seen is convincing people that God cannot deliver because we cannot see him.
I was reflecting over God’s faithfulness and deliverance, three stood out of the list that are so chilling.
One evening, I stayed back for a meeting after our bible study. The meeting overran till about 10 pm. The place was not built up and I stood there all alone in the dark. A taxi came after 20minutes of waiting and passed because it was full. Shortly after, they reversed with speed back to me and the driver asked me to get in quick. The passengers squeezed themselves to let me in. Just about two poles. I saw why they came back for me. There was a man coming with fury with a machete. The driver was convinced that I would have been harmed, and he came back for me, although the car was full. God’s mercy is forever. He will make a way where there seems to be no way.
The second was my encounter with a young man who receives his Scientology letters at the address of the house we moved into. He comes to ask me if I received any letter for him. He lives in the block of flats opposite us but does not want his parents to know his plights, so the people before us did the job for him. I told him to reroute the letters, or I will send them back to senders if he didn’t do that. I cannot encourage a hidden life of a young person as I would not want my children to do so. That didn’t go well with him. One evening as I was coming back from work, I had a sound like one jumped into a heap of dry leaves and I turned in fright because no one was on the street. The way I turned also startled him, and he ran off with a knife in his hand. Apparently, he targeted me knowing the time I come back and the bridge could be quite lonely at night. The Lord saved me. We move from that house the same night.
The third was like the second. A young man kept harassing me every evening on the lonely section of the street. The night he came in actual hostility was my last day at the job I usually finish late. I can go on recounting Elohim’s deliverance.
Our God is The Great Deliverer, even in the darkest of moments, He goes before us to clear the way. The sun shall not smite us by day neither the moon by night. Everything about us is already planned out by him. Jesus is alive and He saves. He watches over them that trust Him. His faithfulness is for ever. He is watching over you.
All it takes is to be sold out to Him in worship and reverence, remain in Him all the days of our lives. Giving our lives to Him in repentance sorts us out. Dedicating the future to Him adds another layer of assurance. Consecration and commitment to him takes us higher up the ladder and holy life puts us at the top far above principalities and powers. A good deal indeed to know and serve him.
