Then Peter said, Lo, we have left all, and followed thee. And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or parents, or brethren, or wife, or children, for the kingdom of God’s sake, who shall not receive manifold more in this present time, and in the world to come life everlasting. Luke 18:28-30.

Peter asked a genuine question most people are still asking today. They want to know what believing in Christ has for them. The vast majority who had believed are in ignorant of what the cross purchased for them. In this series, we will look at a few of the many blessings in Yeshua Jesus.

God is The Almighty, The High and lifted one, The Glorious King, The one that dwells in the light no man can approach. The all-powerful Elohim, The creator of Heaven and earth. There is no word to describe the state of being in God’s presence. The peace is like a river, the joy flows to everlasting, and the songs are heard on the mountain top. The contentment is like the bravery of the oceans. The confidence, as solid Gold. What a place to be. These are what being in Him affords us. No wonder David wanted to dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of his life and to behold the beauty of His Holiness.

And all the people saw the thundering, and the lightnings, and the noise of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking: and when the people saw it, they removed, and stood afar off. And they said unto Moses, speak thou with us, and we will hear: but let not God speak with us, lest we die. Genesis 20:18-19 KJV.

The heady of the world will freeze in fear. The thundering that goes with His presence will scare off the proud, the wicked, the principalities and powers. There is a light that shines in the face of one who had been in God’s presence. No man can behold that glory, it blinds ailing situations. Those that come to intimidate you will tremble at God’s presence.

Tremble, thou earth, at the presence of the Lord, At the presence of the God of Jacob. Psalm 114:7 KJV.

There is strength in His presence, and you can speak to the earth in boldness.

We hold our peace in His presence, for the good Lord watches over us. The serenity of His presence is life. The vastness of His glory is beyond imagination.

The hills melted like wax at the presence of the LORD, At the presence of the Lord of the whole earth Psalm 97:5 KJV.

Surely every obstructive hill in our way will melt off. In our eyes, the hills of life are insurmountable, but with God’s presence, we speak to the mountain. It has no option but to leap like a frog. I remember one of our mission trips to Chicago. The connecting flight from New York left before the scheduled time because of the imminent Hurricane just round the corner. We met part of it’s fury on the Atlantic. It was a flight of horror. The Pilots did their best. The hostesses did their best to calm everyone down. A man stood for hours with his hands held strongly at the roof of the plane. It was a successful mission. My husband and I held our hands, prayed, and handed everything to Him. We handed the children, the brethren, and work to him. For us to live is Christ and to die is gain. What a way to pass on to glory on a mission trip! God reminded us that His presence took us and will take us back home safely. Both of us got it and that was it. God has said it and we believed it. It is settled! Done Deal!. The plane rocked, but we knew we will land safely. What a faithful God we serve.

Even the trees shall sing out at His presence. The winds obey His will, and the storms calms at His presence.

There is refreshing in His presence. Have you woken up to pray and praise Him and burst out dancing on your bed? Your face glittering and you wish you don’t have to get out of that bed. Songs of adoration echoes, even the ones you have heard years ago, wells up in you, claps of joy, and the room fills with awe. In God’s presence, your youth is renewed, there is no darkness in His presence. Satan and demons are scared to come close. Doors open, favour will happen.

The brightness of His presence illuminates your path. Every hidden thing, sickness, loneliness, rejection, pain, disappointment, worthless feeling, and suicidal tendencies melt away.

The sun shall be no more thy light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto thee: but the LORD shall be unto thee an everlasting light, and thy God thy glory. Isaiah 60:19 KJV.

There is no fear in His presence. You will not be failed, neither will you be forsaken. And the LORD, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed. Deuteronomy 31:8 KJV.

Moses and the children of Israel knew what it is to enjoy the pillar of cloud by the day and the pillar of fire by the night. They knew manna can fall from heaven at his command. Bitter waters turned sweet and the armies of the enemy swallowed up in the sea. No wonder he said, they will not move an inch without His presence.

And he said unto him, If thy presence go not with me, carry us not up hence. Exodus 33:15 KJV

When Jesus said to Peter that they will receive manifold, it is indeed manifold what we signed up for in Christ Jesus. His presence is more than we can ask for
